(formerly Thomsons Lake Pharmacy)

About Us

At TerryWhite Chemmart Cockburn Medical, we believe that before you can treat someone’s symptoms, you have to treat them with something else – genuine care.

It’s why our pharmacists take the time to ask the right questions and offer a variety of health services, not just sell the latest special. We believe the best way to keep someone healthy is through interaction, not transaction. We welcome the opportunity to take care of your health and the health of your family.

Pharmacy Services

  • Book Vaccination Here.

We are your Local Vaccination Provider. Eligible individuals can get vaccinated against illnesses such as Influenza, Covid and Whooping Cough at their local pharmacy by our trained pharmacists at TerryWhite Chemmart Cockburn Medical.

Bookings are preffered for all vaccinations. Please go to our booking site here to book your required vaccination.

We may be able to accommodate walk-ins, however a short wait may be required.

  • Pharmaceutical compounding is the science of formulating customised medications for patients.

It is particularly useful when you require a specialised strength or dosage form of a medication that is unavailable commercially or you have allergies to the excipients present in the commercially available products.

At TerryWhite Chemmart Cockburn Medical, we can collaborate with you and your doctor to compound personalised medications to suit your individual healthcare needs.

For more information on Compounded Medications please see our Compounding Pharmacy page or read our Blog on the difference between a regular and a compounding pharmacy.

  • When you take several medications each day, remembering which is which, when to take them, and what each one is intended for can be challenging. Our pharmacists can help you understand your medications.

We can custom pack your medicines in a safe and secure blister pack. This can reduce the worry about forgetting or confusing medicines. We offer a complete Webster packing service to suit your needs.

These Webster packs are ideal for people taking multiple medications to reduce confusion and for people travelling, so only the required amount of medication is taken with you on the trip.

  • We can supply you with Consumer Medicines Information (CMI) for any of your prescription items.

This is written specifically so that it is easy to understand and provides you with important information you should consider before, during and after taking your medicine. It also contains information and instructions that will allow you to use your medicine safely and effectively.

  • Our Pharmacists have a special interest in Women's Health and can help answer your health questions and provide support and advice.

We refer and collaborate with your other healthcare providers, such as the WA Women’s Health Centre nearby, to offer complete care personalised to you. We also readily stock all the relevant prescription items associated with women’s health.

  • High blood pressure is often called the 'silent killer'.
We can help you keep track of this with our FREE Blood Pressure monitoring service. Come in as often as you like and we can even give you a print out of your results to take to your doctor.

  • Our pharmacists are available to issue Medical Certificates if you are unfit for work.

If you need a Medical Certificate at short notice, our Pharmacists may be able to help. These can cover your personal sick leave or carer's leave from work.

The cost of our service is $30 for the consultation and to issue an Absence from Work certificate and for providing related advice as required.

  • Equipment for hire includes crutches (both under arm and elbow) and wheelchairs. Contact us for more information.

Our Team

  • Jared grew up in Singapore before moving to Perth to complete his tertiary studies. Jared has been a pharmacist for over 10 years. He enjoys all aspects of pharmacy and has a special interest in sleep apnoea and pharmaceutical compounding. Jared is also an accredited consultant pharmacist, qualified to conduct home medication reviews. Jared also speaks fluent Mandarin.

Outside of work, Jared enjoys spending time with his young family and doing long-distance jogs to keep fit and healthy.

  • Syd has been a Pharmacist for over 30 years. He has owned his own pharmacies for about 25 years. In that time he has seen many changes in the profession of pharmacy. These days pharmacy is much more than supplying medication. Talking with people, understanding their needs and then providing the best health advice is what Syd loves to do.

When not in the Pharmacy he enjoys time with his two (now grown-up) children, boxing and generally keeping fit.
